The ins and outs of conveyancing risk and legislation

Geodesys, a leading provider of conveyancing searches for residential and commercial property throughout England and Wales is heading to Norwich on 11 July for CPD event.

Geodesys has teamed up with property market analyst and commentator Kate Faulkner and other industry experts for their latest Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar for modern conveyancers entitled: The ins and outs of conveyancing risk and legislation.

The complimentary seminar is taking place at Dunston Hall, Norwich on 11 July from 8:30am until 2pm (lunch included). The event will address three topical threats facing the modern conveyancer: the regional and national housing market, anti-money laundering, and drainage and water issues (CON29DW) and advise on the best tools for ensuring individuals remain compliant.

Lauren Lieser, Business Development Manager from Geodesys, comments:

“With a wealth of estate agents in Norwich, not including lettings, the indication is that the regional housing market is in great demand.  Our event in Norwich is a great way for the modern conveyancer to keep themselves updated with industry news, developments and legislation changes, as well as obtain knowledge on the correct search products for client protection.”

The first part of the event will be delivered by Jonny Davey, Geodesys product manager, who will deliver a presentation on how the CON29DW highlights drainage and water issues affecting homeowners, and how these can affect future developments.

With the recent changes to Anti-Money Laundering Directive in full swing Jonny will host the second seminar for conveyancers on all they need to know to ensure that they and their businesses are compliant.

The third and final part of the morning will be delivered by one of the UK’s leading property experts Kate Faulkner from Designs on Property. A regular on the BBC, ITV and ITN, Kate will be providing her analysis and insight of the regional and national housing market.

Lauren concludes:

“Not only does the event offer free, professional training for industry experts and commentators but it also contributes to the delegates’ annual CPD training and development records–an integral part of any property professional’s role.”
