The ESTAS Conveyancing Awards: Key date for your diary this autumn

As we all brush the sand off our feet from the summer holidays and send the kids back to school with a sigh of relief, it’s time to look at the work diary for the next few months and establish the must attend events of the autumn, like the ESTAS Conveyancer Awards.

First on the list has to be Bold Legal LIVE! followed by The ESTAS Conveyancer Awards on 18th October.  The awards are now firmly established as the biggest and best in the sector due to the fact winners are selected on ratings from clients. However, this year there’s another reason to go as the Bold Legal Group hosts their first annual conference.

The event which is sponsored by LEAP, the leading practice management software provider, will use the ESTAS awards stage set creating a TV studio atmosphere, giving delegates an informative, educational and motivational experience. The audience will consist of 200+ law firm owners and key decision makers in the conveyancing sector. Both events will be held in the stunning ballroom at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London.

Rob Hailstone, CEO of Bold Legal Group, said:

“There is no doubt in my mind that the conveyancing process will evolve and change throughout 2020 and beyond. Busy property lawyers not only need to know what is going on but need to have a say in what is going on because any changes made are likely to affect their livelihoods. The conference will give them the opportunity to listen to and quiz those that will be formulating, implementing and making those changes.”

Topics and issues that will be focused on will include:
  • The progress of the possible introduction of Reservation Agreements
  • Bringing the sale/conveyancing process forward and Property Log Books (not HIPs!)
  • The relevance and success of HMLR publishing its requisition data
  • The new Code for Completion – Six months on!
  • The success of introducing more referral fee transparency (via estate agents) and whether or not a full referral fee ban is likely

Hailstone is arguably one of the best-known figures in the residential conveyancing sector with over 40 years’ experience in the industry and sits on a range of advisory panels, including those current bodies created by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to develop plans to improve the home buying and selling process.

John Espley, CEO at LEAP, said:

“I am thrilled that LEAP has been chosen to headline sponsor the inaugural Bold Legal LIVE! We share an ethos of promoting excellence in conveyancing and for many years we have developed highly innovative practice management software. With the positive impact our LEAP Best Practice Standard is having on the profession, we continue to provide real support to property lawyers, helping them to deliver a highly effective, professional and affordable service for their clients. We are looking forward to what promises to be a very informative and valuable day for those who attend.”

The ESTAS Conveyancing Awards: Key date for your diary this autumn

The conference will be followed by the most prestigious awards in the conveyancing sector The ESTAS sponsored by SearchFlow. The awards will be hosted by ESTAS brand ambassador and the nation’s favourite property expert Phil Spencer who will announce the winners in front of 400+ of the UK’s foremost property lawyers.

Simon Brown, Founder of The ESTAS Group, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to be hosting a conference with the BLG team. This is a natural extension of the awards which our clients have been asking for.  Rob’s experience and knowledge of the sector together with our expertise in live events means this will be a day and evening not to be missed.

“Space will be limited to both events so it’s important firms book their places as quickly as possible”.

The date for your diary is Friday 18th October. Tickets for both events including combined package options can be booked at https://www.theestas.com/book-tickets
