Revealed: Best and worst Boroughs for green space and gardens

Research by Fantastic Services has revealed the best and the worst London boroughs for availability of green spaces and gardens.

New research has found that Havering is the London Borough with the highest percentage of addresses that have a garden, with 89.7% of buildings having access to private outdoor space.

According to research by Fantastic Services, who analysed ONS data on private outdoor space, 99.2% of houses in Havering have a garden whilst 61.9% of flats have access to private outdoor space.

Bexley is the second ‘greenest’ Borough with 88.5% of addresses having a garden.

Tower Hamlets is the Borough with the least amount of garden space with only 60.3% of addresses having private outdoor space.

This is closely followed by the Borough of Camden with only 61.0% of addresses having a garden and Westminster with 63.0% of addresses having outdoor space.

Barking and Dagenham is the Borough with the lowest percentage of flats that have access to a garden at only 54.2%. Kensington and Chelsea is the Borough that offers the highest percentage of flats with access to private outdoor space at 81.3%.
