Property Ombudsman: Launch of the ‘Better Redress for Home Buyers’ report

The Property Ombudsman comments on the launch of the ‘Better Redress for Home Buyers’ report by the APPG for Excellence in the Built Environment.

Following the launch of the ‘Better Redress for Home Buyers’ report by the APPG for Excellence in the Built Environment, Katrine Sporle, The Property Ombudsman commented:

“The Property Ombudsman (TPO) completely agrees that new homes should be covered by an Ombudsman; people have absolutely no idea that when they buy a new home directly from the developer that they have no access to redress. I am pleased to see that much of the evidence TPO gave to the APPG is quoted in their report. We also firmly believe that TPO has the capability to provide the new homes ombudsman service required.”
