PinPoint Information to showcase new Minerals report at Move Reports Conference

The Belfry, 20 May 2026

PinPoint Information will showcase its new non-coal Minerals report at this week’s Move Reports Conveyancing Property Conference & Social at The Belfry.  The report has been developed to help address what PinPoint believes is one of the most overlooked areas of property due diligence: non-coal mining risk.

While coal mining searches are well established in conveyancing, large parts of the UK are affected by historic and current extraction of minerals such as limestone, gypsum, salt, clay, sandstone and metalliferous ores. These risks can often sit outside standard searches, despite having the potential to create ground instability, collapse or subsidence issues.

Designed by PinPoint’s mining expert Phil Huddleston MRICS as a minerals equivalent to CON29M reporting, the PinPoint Minerals report remains independent of Coal CON29M and combines proprietary PinPoint datasets, specialist zone-of-influence modelling and practical interpretation from mining experts.

Alongside the use of unique PinPoint proprietary data, risk models and expert analysis to identify and calculate risks, the report also contains an additional AI-generated Executive Summary. This has been developed to help streamline the review process and improve efficiencies, assisting legal and property professionals with identifying mining risks that potentially affect the report’s address.

Ben Baker, Co-Founder of PinPoint Information, said:

“Many in the industry understandably still associate mining risk purely with coal. The reality is that non-coal minerals can present significant property risk across large parts of the UK, however these hazards are often missed during due diligence. Our Minerals report has been developed to help conveyancers better understand the wider picture beneath the surface and support informed, proportionate decisions.”

The report also includes £1m Aviva-backed PinPoint Certification and is available with same-day turnaround.

Alongside showcasing the new Minerals report, the PinPoint team will also be discussing wider issues relating to Coal, Minerals, Chancel and ground risk throughout the conference.

The Move Reports Conveyancing Property Conference & Social takes place at The Belfry on Wednesday 20 May.
