Online home listing features that turn off potential buyers

Insufficient images are prospective buyers’ biggest pet peeve on a home listing, Bankrate research on such features has found.

82% of potential buyers agreed that a listing with less than 10 good-quality images is a huge turn-off and makes them less likely to follow through with a purchase.

In second place is a dull description (80%), as buyers like sellers to show some personality when listing a property.

Given the current situation regarding the lockdown, a similar proportion (79%) said not having a good-quality video available for viewing is a major turn-off.

Other issues for buyers are bad quality or unflattering images (75%), messy homes (73%), as well as listings being overpriced (73%).
