LEAP expands in Scotland

Only specialist legal software supplier with offices in all four countries of the UK

LEAP, the world’s leading cloud software provider for small law firms, announces it has relocated its offices in Edinburgh to larger premises to accommodate a team which has expanded from seven to sixteen during the last year.

Based in the new Edinburgh office LEAP has a transitions team, content team, sales function and a legal cashier/compliance officer. The content team ensures that the firm’s software is fully up to date with Scottish law, court forms, legal documents and letters. All legal documents are immediately updated by the content team as changes in legislation and accounting regulations come into effect. This means that LEAP customers in Scotland are fully compliant with all Scottish legal and accounting systems.

LEAP Sales Manager for Scotland Joe De Wet comments:

“With LEAP there is now a fully operating Scottish compliant integrated legal software solution available to law firms. We have a large team of people to visit our customers in Scotland to ensure they receive the best support and service. We are helping small to mid-sized law firms in Scotland work faster, better and smarter using our cloud solution.”

Peter Baverstock, LEAP UK CEO commented:

“This significant investment in Scotland shows our commitment to the Scottish market. Following our recent office opening in Northern Ireland this means LEAP is the only specialist legal software supplier with offices in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.”

LEAP also recently announced a partnership with The Cashroom to provide outsourced cashier, management accounting and payroll services. The Cashroom will provide these services to LEAP client firms to increase efficiency, reduce costs and ensure full compliance with all Solicitors Accounts Rules. Services will include all books and records, paying suppliers, reconciling bank accounts, day/month end routines, submitting VAT returns etc. Management accounts and information can be provided together with budgets and cash flow projections to keep a firm fully informed. It will also include payroll services, with statutory payments, pensions and other deductions, and can administer ‘auto-enrolment’ and workplace pensions in accordance with the regulations.

More than 5,000 small to medium sized legal practices across the world use LEAP cloud software every day. It avoids the need to buy expensive servers that can soon become obsolete. LEAP is focused on the needs of small law firms and designing the very best software, and it supports this commitment by investing more than £8m per year on innovation and design.
