Jennifer’s mission to build WHN’s conveyancing team
Specialist residential conveyancing solicitor Jennifer Prysiaznyj has joined Lancashire law firm Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors (WHN).
Jennifer, aged 40, is based at the firm’s Bury office with a remit to build on its thriving residential department.
She was recruited from Blakewater Solicitors where she was director and head of conveyancing for 11 years, specialising in Islamic finance.
Jennifer’s career highlights include developing a ten-strong conveyancing department from scratch, as well as achieving Lexcel, CQS and Investors in People Gold accreditation. In addition, she was regarded as the most instructed solicitor in England for clients seeking residential Islamic finance.
Previously, she completed her solicitor’s training contract at the Accrington and Blackburn offices of Acklam Bond. She obtained a Law and German degree from Sheffield University, which included a year studying law at Regensburg University in Bavaria, Germany.
Commenting on her appointment, Jennifer said:
“I have a passion for training and development after growing my previous firm’s conveyancing team organically. This is something I am already doing here in Bury and we have already recruited a paralegal to work her way up to handling her own case-load.”
Jennifer added:
“I am very enthusiastic about WHN’s ethos, which is to be a local high street firm that encourages client-facing work, while embracing new technology and developing a future proof business model. I particularly enjoy the completion day of residential conveyancing transactions and strive to ensure all clients feel looked after and supported as they move home, which is often a stressful but ultimately uplifting experience.”
Originally from Haworth in West Yorkshire, Jennifer lives with her family in Clayton-le Moors. She is fluent in German and speaks basic Urdu after attending a course at Blackburn College in 2014. A mother of two, she spends a lot of time on the touchline watching her daughter play football, as well as in the theatre watching her other daughter tread the boards.
Graham Ireland, head of conveyancing at WHN Solicitors, added:
“Recruiting Jennifer puts us in a great position to significantly develop our residential conveyancing team. I am confident we will benefit from her strong specialist knowledge, including Islamic finance, along with her passionate commitment to recruit and nurture talented young conveyancing lawyers.”
