HM Land Registry publishes UK House Price Index June 2022

The latest UK House Price Index June 2022 data shows house price changes for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland up to end of June 2022.

The June data shows: 
  • on average, house prices have increased 1% since May 2022
  • there has been an annual price rise of 7.8% which makes the average property in the UK valued at £286,397.
  • In England, house prices have risen 0.9% between May 2022 and June 2022 and rose 7.3% annually taking the average property price to £304,867.
  • In London, house prices risen 1.9% between May 2022 and June 2022 and rose 6.3% annually taking the average property price to £537,920.
  • In Wales, house prices have risen 0.6% between May 2022 and June 2022 and rose 8.6% annually taking the average property price to £213,091.
  • The regional data for England shows that:
    • East of England experienced the greatest increase in its average property value over the last 12 months with a movement of 9.7%
    • North East saw the lowest annual price growth with an increase of 3.6%
    • Yorkshire and the Humber saw the most significant monthly price fall with a movement of –0.4% since May 2022
    • North West experienced the greatest monthly growth with an increase of 2.1% since May 2022
