Conveyancing Association looks to ‘Conveyancing 2025 and beyond’ at Annual Conference

The Conveyancing Association (CA), the leading trade body for the conveyancing industry, is using its Annual Conference next month, which has the theme ‘Conveyancing 2025 and Beyond’,  to look at the future for the sector with a range of seminar sessions outlining what firms might expect and the models they might wish to adopt in order to survive and thrive.

The Conference is being held on the 6th February at the ICC Wales in Newport, South Wales and the CA has today (23rd January 2020) outlined the full programme of sessions.

They include:
  • A policy and campaign update from the CA’s Operation Director, Lloyd Davies and Director of Delivery, Beth Rudolf.
  • An introduction to future conveyancing operating models with a specific look at two – the Outsourcer Conveyancing Model and the Aggregator Conveyancing Model – by Eddie Goldsmith and a panel of experts.
  • A presentation by the Conference’s Headline Sponsor, Visualfiles by LexisNexis.
  • A business investor panel session with Tony Stockdale (Metamorph Law), John Llewyn Lloyd (Arden Partners), Viv Williams (Anza Solutions LLP) and Colum Smith (McMillan Williams).
  • A keynote speech from former advertising agency owner and world authority on persuasion and influence, Philip Hesketh.

Tickets to the Annual Conference are still available at a cost of £125 plus VAT, or at discounted price for exhibitors/members and their clients at £60 plus VAT. Further information on all details of the Conference can be found at: www. www.conveyancingassociation.org.uk/annual-conference/

The Conference is also followed by the Association’s Annual Dinner, held in the same venue, and includes a three-course dinner plus live entertainment. Sponsored by Conveyancing Data Services, tickets are available at a cost of £90 plus VAT, or a discounted price for exhibitors/members and their clients of £100 plus VAT for both conference and dinner attendance.

The CA is anticipating its biggest turn-out at the Annual Conference & Dinner with over 200 industry stakeholders attending and over 20 businesses and associations exhibiting at the event.

Paul Smee, Non-Executive Chair of the Conveyancing Association, commented:

“The CA’s Annual Conference, which will take place at the brand-new ICC Wales venue on the 6th February, will address immediate issues confronting the profession but also gives space to consider what might be coming over the horizon. We have therefore themed this year’s conference around the conveyancing sector, and what it might look like post-2025.

“A five-year time horizon might seem an age in a fast-changing market but those firms who want to prepare for the second part of this decade, and beyond, will need to start that process now. So, we’re outlining and discussing a number of models that might be followed in order to run successfully from that point.

“As well as the future-focus, we’ll be covering the ongoing campaign and policy work undertaken by the CA, plus we’ll have a presentation by our sponsors, Visualfiles by LexisNexis, a business investor panel session, and a keynote session from business speaker, Philip Hesketh.

“With the day topped off by our Annual Dinner – sponsored by Conveyancing Data Services – I think we can promise a very informative, challenging and entertaining day. You can still book your tickets or confirm your attendance; please visit our website.”
