British Property Federation (BPF) announces new Presidential Team

British Property Federation (BPF) unveils their newly-appointed Junior Vice-President, David Partridge (Managing Partner of Argent) for the Presidential Team.

Robert Noel, Chief Executive, Landsec today becomes the President of the British Property Federation (BPF).

Noel succeeds Paul Brundage, Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director – Europe & Asia Pacific, Oxford Properties, who will stand down as President at the BPF’s annual Summer Reception this evening.

The BPF has appointed David Partridge, Managing Partner of Argent, as its new Junior Vice-President.

Partridge will take over the Junior Vice-President role from Grainger Chief Executive Helen Gordon, who becomes the BPF’s Vice-President.

Melanie Leech, Chief Executive, British Property Federation comments:

“Robert has already been helping to shape the BPF’s work as a member of our Presidential team for the past two years. I look forward to working with him this year to drive forward our agenda to ensure that the contribution real estate makes to society is fully understood; and that as an industry we face up to the challenge to become more diverse, inclusive and thereby resilient.

“As the BPF’s new Junior Vice-President, David’s experience and current role at the helm of King’s Cross’s transformation will bring a wealth of development experience to the Presidential team to support our work – not only to showcase the impact of investment and development on economic prosperity, but also the way in which a high-quality built environment can enrich people’s lives.

“These appointments, with Helen completing the Presidential team, will ensure the BPF retains and enhances its reputation and impact as the voice of UK real estate.”

Robert Noel, Chief Executive, Landsec adds:

“I am honoured to take on the role of BPF President, and my focus over the next year will be twofold: to ensure we continue driving forward the debate to create a more diverse and inclusive real estate industry; and to reinforce our industry’s status as a responsible and vital sector of the UK’s economy.

“Through the physical environments we create, we facilitate the economy and society at large to thrive. To become a truly resilient industry, however, we must better reflect the diversity of the economies and communities we serve. We will not be able to achieve this if people of all walks of life do not feel comfortable to pursue a career with longevity in real estate.

“I look forward to working together with the BPF executive team to improve our industry’s perception – one that is seen as progressive, where opportunities exist for everyone, and a critical partner to the Government and the wider general public’s ambitions.”

David Partridge, Managing Partner, Argent says:

“It is a real privilege to become the BPF‘s new Junior Vice-President. With enduring headwinds such as Brexit and business’ reputation firmly under the national spotlight, it is more important than ever that the real estate industry is united with one voice. We must be recognised for not only our current contribution to both economy and society, but also our future potential contribution and our role in securing a successful future for the UK post-Brexit. I look forward to working with both Robert Noel and Helen Gordon in delivering this positive impact for the BPF’s members, the Government and communities across the country.”
