Angela Viney Conveyancing Services merges with another West Yorkshire-based Licensed Conveyancer

The merger of our company and Linda Heald & Co Property Lawyers took place this week, and the coupling means our combined services will offer clients 45 years of conveyancing knowledge and experience.

Based in Sowerby Bridge,  Linda Heald (pictured above left) has over 12 years of experience of both residential and commercial property law, and is a Commissioner for Oaths as well as being a Licensed Conveyancer.

She has a broad knowledge of conveyancing in the Calderdale area, and in particular Sowerby Bridge and the Ryburn Valley.

She also has wide-ranging experience of both the investor and buy-to-let market throughout England and Wales.

Angela Viney Conveyancing Services offer even more length of service, having celebrated the company’s 30th Anniversary last year.

Angela Viney herself was one the very first established Licensed Conveyancers in England and Wales, and during her long career has been the Chair of the CLC (the regulatory body for Licensed Conveyancers), as well as the Chair for the SLC (the representative body for Licensed Conveyancers).

She holds the position of Senior Partner within her company, alongside Managing Partner, Darren Becks (pictured above right), and newly-appointed Partner, Jack Viney.

Darren Becks has held the position of Managing Partner since 2008 and has extensive experience inclusive of land aquisitions, sales, commercial and landlord/tenant work.

In 2011, he joined the Management Board of the SLC, meaning he works with government departments, industry representative bodies, consumer organisations and the media in representing the sector, property law.

Jack Viney was appointed Partner late in 2018 and holds the additional position of Office Manager at the group’s head office in Halifax.

Jack is instrumental in the continual development of the firm’s Case Management software, helping to utilise technology to drive efficiency forwards

Angela Viney Conveyancing Services has branches in Halifax, Huddersfield, Todmorden and Shelf, so the merger with Linda Heald will see the two companies have five branches spread across Calderdale and Kirklees.

Darren Becks says of the announcement:

“We are very excited to have joined forces with Linda Heald.

“As fellow Licensed Conveyancers, we have already enjoyed an excellent working relationship over many years, so really pleased to welcome her to our team.

“There is definitely strength in numbers and I’m certain our collective team, reputation and goodwill will stand us in good stead for the future.

“And we will of course strive to continue to maintain the personal service we are so very proud to offer already.”

Linda Heald adds:

“This is an exciting development for my business following on from the nine years I have single-handedly built up my practice in Sowerby Bridge.

“As a resident of the local community, I will be proud to continue to provide a personal and efficient conveyancing service to clients throughout the Ryburn Valley, old and new, but with the additional support of the directors and staff of Angela Viney Conveyancing Services.”

The merger means the range of conveyancing services offered will include the buying and selling of residential and commercial properties, remortgages, developments, agreements and much more.
