There was more good news for PM Property Lawyers as Trainee Property Lawyer Laura Morley was also a finalist in the Conveyancing Paralegal category and the firm as a whole was a finalist for Best Paralegal Development Award.

Speaking afterwards, Kay said:

“It was a huge surprise to win against such a strong field and an absolute honour even to be a finalist. Paralegals make a big contribution to the success of our law firms and it’s fantastic that we’re being recognised in this way for the work we do.”

Kay has more than 30 years’ experience in the conveyancing sector, starting her career as an office junior and progressing to her current role as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director while also running her own caseload of conveyancing files.

Managing Director, Harvey Harding, added:

“I have seen Kay develop over the last 3 years to be the most adept conveyancing paralegal within our business and within our group of more than 300 employees. More importantly she is a great human being who treats our customers with great care and sensitivity, whomever they may be. She is a very worthy winner and I am extremely proud to be working with her.”

The National Paralegal Awards were set up to recognise the contribution paralegals make to legal services in areas such as employment, family law, will writing and probate research. The awards ceremony was attended by more than 200 guests and was addressed by MP Kate Hoey as well as Rita Leat, CEO of the Professional Paralegal Register and founder of the awards.
