RPSA Surveyors offer new unique product for landlords

Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA) surveyors can now deliver a unique product helping landlords deliver safe and decent homes.

The Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA), the home of Independent surveyors in England and Wales has launched a new and unique service for existing landlords and those buying to let.

Not only does the Mi Buy-To-Let (MiBtlL) Survey include a detailed survey of property condition, but also provides a review of the 29 hazards profiles listed by the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS), the standards used by local authorities to assess property in the PRS.

Alan Milstein, Chairman of the RPSA said:

“The new Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Bill becomes law in March 2019 and puts a heavy legal responsibility on landlords to provide decent and safe homes for tenants, not only at the start, but throughout the tenancy. It became apparent to us, some time ago, that there was a real gap in the market for a survey product that helped landlords protect their investment and reduce the risk of prosecution.”

The Mi Buy-To-Let Survey is the only survey that brings together the assessments of condition and safety and is the most reliable way for landlords to deliver safe and comfortable homes for their tenants.

The RPSA Panel operates throughout England and Wales and consists of locally based independent surveyors who have been specifically trained to offer the MiBtL survey.

Alan added:

“RPSA is all about helping people to access great survey products from specialist residential surveyors who offer an exemplary service.”
