mio launches the first in a series of new sophisticated APIs

mio, the Estate Agents sales progression platform, has released the first in a series of sophisticated APIs to make self-service integration with the platform simple.

The API will increase the number of automated updates mio receives on the progress of transactions reducing phone calls and emails between Agents, Conveyancers, Surveyors and Mortgage Brokers.

The data received will flow directly into the mio platform meaning that Estate Agents and their buyers and sellers are automatically updated on the status of key milestones in a transaction, for, example ‘Searches Ordered’ or ‘Mortgage Valuation Received’.

Designed by mio’s parent Company, tmgroup, who are focused on delivering a series of innovative, constantly evolving APIs that help to streamline processes across a residential property transaction, the API is simple to implement and, in alignment with all future APIs, is designed to save time for all parties involved in a transaction.

Commenting on the launch, Emma Vigus, mio MD, said:

“We know that everyone involved in a residential property transaction spends a great deal of time chasing other parties for updates. This new API will ensure that we can empower Agents with the information they need to simply and effectively keep their Buyers and Sellers up to date.  For those parties who share data with us, we offer the mio Chain View in return ensuring that all parties can understand the status of every transaction in a chain. This is a crucial USP for mio ensuring that those parties who share their data receive something valuable, in return.”

Paul Albone, CTO of tmgroup, said:

“We’ve worked really hard during lock-down to deliver a modern self-service integration solution that will work for all parties involved in property transactions. Our new REST API follows the latest design guidelines and implements high levels of security. With online documentation and sample code, it allows businesses to quickly and simply integrate with our platform. There won’t be any development queues or lengthy documents to complete as we will empower businesses that want to integrate with us, with all the information they need upfront. The mio API is the first in a series of APIs that we will release that will benefit the legal and agency community and, unlike some providers, our self-service mio API solution is available, to anyone, to implement at no charge.”
