Access Legal champions customer centricity with new Head of Customer Service
LONDON, UK – 15 September 2021: Law technology specialist Access Legal continues to drive customer-first strategy as it champions customer centricity with the appointment of a new Head of Customer Service.
Bishu Solomon Girma joins Access Legal with over a decade’s international experience in the legal industry, working across the UK and Canada.
Beginning her career in law practice articling at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Toronto, Bishu also served as in-house counsel at a North American auto manufacturer where she focused on corporate commercial law. She then moved into legal technology and services consultancy, including almost three years as Vice President of Client Services and Forensics for the European division of legal solutions provider Epiq.
In her new role at Access, Bishu will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest quality service from the beginning of their journey. As well as managing a portfolio of over 3,500 legal customers, Bishu will also take direct responsibility for the management of the Professional Services, Support and Customer Service teams.
For Bishu, her primary objective at Access Legal is clear:
“Our success depends on our customers and ensuring that they get the most value from our software and services. When our customers are happy and successfully transform their legal practice, they become more profitable and better able to serve their clients as well.
“I am most excited about demonstrating the value of our suite of legal software that will help lawyers and legal professionals spend less time on administrative tasks and allow them to spend more time focusing on providing expert legal advice.
“Transforming the way lawyers operate has the potential to unlock access to legal expertise and innovation across the industry. As someone with many years of experience in the legal industry, as a lawyer and as a technologist and consultant, I’ve seen the benefits that technology has to offer and I’m excited to be part of a company that is helping to shape the legal tech landscape.”
Commenting on the appointment, Doug Sawers, Managing Director of Access Legal, said:
“Our investment in Bishu is an investment in our customers and we’re thrilled to welcome someone of her calibre. Working alongside the team, Bishu will help accelerate our growth and enhance the quality of our service delivery. The legal industry has been in a period of transformation for years and historically has taken longer to adopt new technologies and a customer centric focus, relative to other sectors. Part of our ambition is to change that view and the arrival of Bishu is furthering our focus on customer success.”
