Target Group set to revolutionise the mortgage process with the launch of state-of-the-art mortgage system – Mortgage Hub
Target Group are set to revolutionise the mortgage process with the launch of state-of-the-art mortgage system, called Mortgage Hub.
Target Group is officially launching the Mortgage Hub, its state-of-the-art mortgage originations system. Over two years in development, it is set to revolutionise the way that lenders and brokers place a mortgage.
The system is unique in many ways, starting with the fact that it’s the only mortgage originations system that has been built to be user-centric rather than product-centric. This means it has been built in a way that makes it intuitive to use, whether you’re a lender or a broker. In fact, the lender and broker get a single view of what is happening on every case so both know exactly what is happening at any given time without the need for extra emails, phone calls, notifications or chasing.
It was developed in this way after many months of research where Target spoke to brokers, lenders, conveyancers, surveyors, and borrowers. They carried out workshops and in-depth user testing, taking on-board everything the users in the mortgage application journey wanted and built the Mortgage Hub based on this. Target also utilised behavioural scientists to design the user interface to ensure users did not experience cognitive overload, presenting in information in a way that increases engagement and supports high throughput.
Mortgage Hub is modular by design, and therefore creates a highly configurable platform, it has a single base code with all releases being deployed to the base code allowing lenders the option to accept the release with the associated functionality or not.
Mortgage Hub has made it possible for broker or lender to just key information once. It will link with other systems and platforms including panel managers, CRM systems, product, and criteria sourcing systems. This integration avoids the need for brokers to input their client details multiple times. This not only saves time but increases accuracy. The new changes also make it highly compliant.
Katie Pender, Managing Director at Target Group, says:
“We thought carefully about the design of the Mortgage Hub to make it as easy to use as possible.
“It has been a long time in development and pilot in order to ensure that it is as close as possible to what people throughout the mortgage industry say they need to make their lives easier.
“This means the process is now simpler and quicker for borrowers and all involved.
“Because we know that things don’t stand still, we have also built in the ability to update the Mortgage Hub at speed, so we can be highly responsive to lenders’ changing needs.
“This also means we can update it quickly as the economic environment changes.
“There have been so many sudden changes in our market in the past few years with the pandemic, stamp duty holidays and the fallout from the Liz Truss budget, we wanted to be able to respond to any other potential future events instantly and with the Mortgage Hub we can.
“Our key goal is to change the way customers feel for the better, be that lenders, brokers, conveyancers or the end borrower. We believe our Mortgage Hub does that.”
