NHBC strengthens its standards, innovation & research offering with new appointment

NHBC, the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK, is pleased to announce a new appointment to lead its Standards, Innovation & Research division.

Richard Smith – NHBC Foundation

Richard Smith has joined NHBC as Head of Standards, Innovation & Research, with a focus on NHBC Standards and the company’s supporting technical guidance. He will also oversee NHBCs analysis of new modern methods of construction (MMC) systems as well as strengthening the NHBC Foundation’s research and guidance activities.

Richard brings over 20 years of experience with him and has worked with a wide range of industry’s organisations. His extensive industry knowledge and his background in building control will serve to support NHBC with the planned growth of its Standards, Innovation & Research division.
