Landmark and PSG launch joint training roadshow for property solicitors
Continuing its commitment to provide high quality and topical training to professionals in the property law industry, Landmark Information, the land, property and environmental data specialist, has teamed up with Property Search Group (PSG) this summer to bring a series of valuable in-depth training and development workshops to property solicitors and conveyancers in the South East.
Sponsored by Landmark Information, the PSG Property Matters Roadshow will bring together a number of expert speakers, the most current topics and the opportunity to network, providing concise and engaging CPD in a format to meet the needs of today’s busy property lawyers and professionals, free of charge.
The series of half-day conferences enable solicitors to qualify for 3.5 CPD hours, which can be evidenced as part of solicitors’ SRA continuing competence requirements (second A2). The roadshow is visiting Hounslow (6th June), Reigate (12th June), Cobham (13th June) and Holborn (18th June), where expert speakers will deliver a roundup of current issues affecting the industry.
The conferences will cover a range of topics including;
- Environmental Due Diligence
- Leasehold Reform
- Planning Risks
- Transparency of Fees
- The Community Infrastructure Levy*
- GDPR**
Mark Chick from Bishop and Sewell LLP will provide an update on the current developments in residential leasehold, including the government’s White Paper as it affects leasehold property and the proposed scope for reform following the recent government consultation on ‘Tackling Unfair Practices in the Leasehold Market’.
Philip Hill, Account Director at Landmark Information will be participating in each roadshow to provide insights relating to environmental reports for property transactions. Commenting on the series of events, Philip said: “The Property Matters Roadshow conferences are designed to provide free professional updates, guidance and training to property lawyers and professionals to support their continuing competence requirements. We encourage property lawyers to pre-register for the free sessions and look forward to seeing you there.”
All sessions start with registration at 8.45am and finish at 12.30pm. Refreshments and a light breakfast will be provided.
