Unlock the Legal Landscape: Join Geodesys For a New Conveyancing CPD Webinar Day
Geodesys is thrilled to announce an exciting new CPD opportunity designed to help conveyancers navigate and unlock the legal landscape across both residential and commercial property markets.
On Tuesday 2nd December, we’ll be hosting two exclusive webinars, offering a full day of expert insight and practical guidance. We’re delighted to welcome a panel of leading industry speakers, Richard Snape, Ian Quayle, Kay Toon, and Luke Parsons, who will share their knowledge and perspectives on the latest developments shaping the conveyancing profession. The morning session will focus on emerging trends and key updates in commercial leases, while the afternoon session will take a look back at the residential landscape of 2025, exploring pivotal changes, legal updates, and what lies ahead for conveyancers.
Starting at 11.00 am, the morning session will shine a spotlight on the evolving world of commercial property, with a particular focus on commercial leases. The session will be hosted by industry veterans Richard Snape, Luke Parsons and Geodesys Key Account Manager, Kay Toon. It will cover the key legal and environmental changes reshaping commercial leases, including:
- The Building Safety Act, planning law updates and the proposed ban on upwards-only rent reviews
- Essential searches for short-term leases and what MEES could mean for transactions
- The growing impact of climate change on commercial property decisions
Richard brings with him extensive training experience. He has been the Head of Legal Training at Davitt Jones Bould (DJB) since 2002. His areas of specialism include both commercial and residential property, in particular in relation to local government law, conveyancing issues, development land, commercial property and incumbrances in relation to land.
Luke is the Business Development Director for Landmark Legal at Landmark Information. With over eight years of experience in the property and land search industry, Luke has worked closely with numerous law firms to deliver innovative solutions. He regularly presents advisory and training sessions for legal professionals.
Kay Toon will be back for the afternoon session, starting at 2.00pm, and will be joined by Ian Quayle from IQ Legal Training. During this session Ian will share the key developments that shaped residential conveyancing this year. He will cover the following topics:
- Advising on rights of way
- How to deal with due diligence in freehold transactions
- Key updates from 2025
Ian Quayle qualified as a solicitor and worked in private practice for 13 years, specialising in property law matters, before launching his training business, IQ Legal Training. He brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to his sessions.
Both of these sessions are a unique opportunity to hear from industry experts in a focused, insightful, and interactive setting, offering practical guidance on the latest developments shaping the conveyancing sector. They are designed for conveyancers and property professionals at any stage of their career who want to further their knowledge and stay ahead in a competitive field.
