HM Land Registry: Avoiding variations in names – listen up!

HM Land Registry have produced a second episode of their customer training podcast series called Avoiding Variations in Names.

Episode 2 of our customer training podcast series is live.

Every year, we send more than 200,000 requests for information (requisitions) in relation to variations in names in applications, such as spelling discrepancies or the order of first and second names.

In this edition, HM Land Registry’s Operations Technical Training and Development Manager, Sue Owen, and Head of Customer Policy and Service Improvement, Andrew Robertson, discuss:
    • the importance of getting names right on applications;
    • why a discrepancy means we have to send a requisition;
    • key checks you should make between the register and documents and forms submitted;
    • what authority you need to make register changes;
    • how our award-winning Digital Registration Service can help your firm avoid requisitions about variations in names; and
    • frequently-asked questions regarding variations in names

It’s a fascinating insight into HM Land Registry’s practices – don’t miss out!
