Conveyancing Foundation Achieves £1.3M Charity Milestone and Expands Industry Initiatives for 2026
The Conveyancing Foundation celebrated 10 years in 2025 and achieved its objective of “enhancing the lives of those working in the property industry”, through its wellbeing, collaborative and charity initiatives.
Guided by Co Chairs – Rob Hailstone, David Opie and Jess Smith, the Foundation reached new levels last year, which they aim to emulate and surpass in 2026.
Collaboration
Industry wide collaborative and complimentary online events helped to inspire, educate, and bring the industry together to share ideas and aspirations through seminars and Ted Talks from property industry experts. National Conveyancing Month in March and Wellbeing at Work Month in October have been extended from a week to a month to ensure maximum engagement and viewing in 2026.
Thank you to the following stakeholders for their wonderful support, charity fundraising and promotion:
- The British Conveyancing Awards – March 2026
- The Bold Legal Group Conference – June 2026
- The ESTAS – October 2026
- The Society for Licensed Conveyancers Conference – November 2026
Wellbeing
The Foundation has always been a great advocate of wellbeing best practice and pioneered with the development of short and conveyancing specific Mental Health Champion training courses and the provision of training grant funding in 2025. Our “Wellbeing Excellence” Survey 2026 will provide a wellbeing and benefits barometer test for businesses in the property industry.
Charity
The Foundation reached the £1.3 million charity fundraising milestone in 2025!
The Charity Lotto has been hugely successful in raising funds for charity, with a £10 donation and Gift Aid making each donation worth £11.25, with a monthly prize draw of £500, with over £66,000 distributed in prize money.
Lotto Members Wilson Nesbit, Sam Hawkings Property Lawyers, Shared Direction and BTMK Solicitors have raised tens of thousands of pounds through the lotto.
