X-Press Legal Service’s commitment to delivering CPDs

David Lister

I surprised myself recently when I did a tally of our annual work supporting the conveyancing industry through hosting CPD events and webinars.

In just one year we had supported over 4,000 legal and conveyancing professionals in meeting their CPD obligations!

Why do we give up so much of our free time and expertise to do this? Because it matters.  It matters to professionals who want to progress their careers, stay compliant, ahead of the curve and the competition. But mostly we do it because it matters very personally to our team.

You see, X-Press Legal Services isn’t a faceless monolith. We have regional experts working alongside local conveyancers who pride themselves, above all else, on knowing their clients and delivering a personal service.

CPDs are central to that and, because our teams understand their local markets, they can deliver CPD events that are hugely relevant to their clients. Our attendees know that attending an X-Press Legal Services CPD event will furnish them with the latest regional insights, alongside industry regulations and compliance requirements.

On top of that we also share our latest innovations in conveyancing products, designed to make their working lives easier. Our teams have heard horror stories at CPD events of conveyancers waiting weeks for property searches. These are often simple searches that we can typically deliver in a much shorter time. It is only by spending quality time with our clients and new prospects at CPD events that we learn about such issues facing conveyancers.

CPDs also help us to understand where the industry pinch points are and have inspired some of our greatest business ideas. Innovation is key to what we do.  Last year we invested over £300k in developing new products, every single one designed to make our clients working lives better.

Conveyancing is a very niche area of the law and those working in the sector really relish the chance to spend time with peers and share best practice. Keeping conveyancers trained, informed and educated is something we take huge pride in as a business. We believe our commitment to it is reflected in the increasing number of professionals attending our events and embracing the services we offer.

I’d love to see us hit the 5,000-attendee mark with CPDs next year because time invested in being with our clients is never time wasted.
