Superman Sam aims to conquer the Arctic and raise £20K for Kids Cancer Charity!
Sam Hawking, Trustee of The Conveyancing Foundation and Principal of Sam Hawking Property Lawyers, is on a mission once again to raise vital funds for charity through a new personal fundraising challenge starting on the 1st March.
Sam aims to win the Lapland Arctic Ultra Challenge in Swedish Arctic. Sam will run 500km dragging a sled with everything he needs to survive, sleeping infrequently, as he aims to complete the 11 day challenge in just 5 record breaking days!
Sam commented: “Kids Cancer Charity supports children affected by cancer and their families, through specialist Play Therapy services and holiday care breaks, at caravans on the UK coast, Disney Land Paris and in Florida. Their work makes a huge difference to children who are really suffering and their families at their time of great need.
“Thinking of the suffering these kids endure, the courage they display, and the help we are giving them, will help to sustain me at my low points through this race. You can follow my progress on the race website https://lapland.arcticultra.de
“Thank you for your support, and for helping these amazing and courageous children.”
The Conveyancing Foundation have awarded Sam £1000 from the Charity Grant Scheme which supports property professionals raising funds for great charitable causes through amazing endeavours – and this certainly is one!
In addition, David Opie and The British Conveyancing Awards will be are supporting Sam and Kids Cancer Charity at the glamorous award event in Manchester on the 14th of March, where we hope Sam will be in attendance after his epic challenge.”
Please support Sam – one of our own – and one of a kind – by supporting Kids Cancer Charity – thank you!
