Ochresoft advances legal workflows with UFI-driven enhancements

Legal workflows: Ochresoft, a Landmark Information Group business and leading provider of innovative software solutions for the legal and conveyancing industries, announces today (25 October) a significant enhancement to its service to unlock the potential of Upfront Information (UFI).

Within the last 12 months, an average of 46% of conveyancing cases have needed enquiries to be raised due to incomplete information (according the Landmark Information research), and in a rapidly transforming industry lawyers will be increasingly instructed on property listings due to the focus on UFI and the requirements of National Trading Standards (NTS).

Ochresoft is spearheading this movement by enabling property lawyers to embrace change and experience the benefits of correct utilisation of UFI which, as a concept alone, is not enough to expedite processes – it requires careful collation, analysis, and processing.

Ochresoft will increase efficiency for lawyers via:
    • A Property Information Review that requires lawyers to record the received UFI, request any missing information, capture identified issues within UFI, and resolve those issues before completing the workflow.
    • A Key Facts Document automated from the data captured by the workflow which supplies the selling agent with the information needed to ensure compliance with NTS Material Information requirements.

When followed correctly, the sale files will be in a significantly more advanced state by the time the property is sold subject to contract, and the buyer instructs their lawyer. This will lead to fewer enquiries, reduced administrative chasing, fewer transaction fall-throughs, faster completions, happy agents, and satisfied clients.

This enhancement follows the recent launch of LandmarkConnect, a series of digital hubs by Landmark Information Group aimed at streamlining the home buying and selling process, increasing digitisation, and fostering industry collaboration to eliminate weeks of delay and uncertainty.

Rob Gurney, Managing Director, Ochresoft, shared his thoughts on this development:

“We are excited to lead the industry in enabling property lawyers and conveyancers to harness the potential of UFI.

“Our enhanced product not only streamlines the onward conveyancing process but also enhances quality and compliance, resulting in a more efficient and satisfying experience for everyone involved in property transactions.”

With these advancements, Ochresoft reaffirms its commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency and compliance for legal and conveyancing professionals.
