The ONP Group announces its rebrand to Movera

The ONP Group has rebranded as Movera, which is a progressive group of home moving businesses with years of experience and trust.

Its brands include ONP Solicitors, Cavendish Legal Group (CLG), Grindeys Conveyancing, LMS, Conveyancing Alliance (CAL), Broker Conveyancing, and Lavatech, creator of inCase. Each company will continue to operate independently but will be enabled and supported by Movera and its platform.

The name-change supports the Movera passion to improve conveyancing and housing transactions, shortening time to completion and improving the experience for everyone involved including brokers, lenders, panel managers and, of course, the end consumer.

Movera CEO, Nick Hale, said:

“With our ethos of focusing on brilliant people, innovative technology and having an explorer mindset, we aim to make home moving a more positive experience.

“Our ambition is to create experiences which can be celebrated not just tolerated.

“With the launch of Movera, we commit to work with our partners ever more closely and welcome the industry joining with us to help make that happen.

“We continually look to explore new opportunities and want to take everyone with us.

“We know we don’t have all the answers, so we want to work with the people around us to lift the industry for the better – for clients, for partners and for our people who help make all of this happen.

“In a complex market, we will work more closely than ever with others to solve bigger pain points and ultimately grow value for everyone in the sector.

“Most importantly we want to improve things for home owners.

“We believe that buying a home, or even remortgaging, is all about experience, not just about a transaction.

“It needs to be enabled by people who feel good about what they do.”

Movera is already doing what it says it will. As an example, so far in 2023, Movera has seen an 18-day reduction in its time to completion for remortgages. Movera aims to continue to improve its turnaround times and the customer experience, by improving partner communication, digital interactions, and integrations.

It is working with the Land Registry as one of only four conveyancing firms to pilot automating the submission of applications to the Land Registry. As a result, we have seen a ten per cent improvement, while identifying processes that will provide similar benefits to other firms as the scheme is rolled out to the rest of the market.

Movera is also helping to speed up remortgaging transactions with LMS’s Decision and Automated Remortgaging Technology (DART). An early adopter of DART, ONP Solicitors has been working closely with LMS to simplify and automate remortgage transactions, while meeting all compliance and quality controls. So far, DART has successfully identified 99 per cent of simple cases that allow enhanced automation and shorter transaction times.

The group’s training and development courses for conveyancers will now be managed under the Movera Academy. The courses aim to upskill existing conveyancers and bring the next wave of talent into the industry, with a mixture of online, in-person, mentoring and on-the-job coaching.

These developments are just the start. Movera intends to build on these to create a new, more powerful and effective force for positive change.
