X-Press Legal Services has teamed up with LMS to deliver law firm identity checking services to clients amid rising financial fraud rates.

LMS, the UK’s leading conveyancing services provider, has today announced a new partnership with X-Press Legal Services, a market leader in regulated property searches and reports, to deliver confirmly, a fast, trusted and secure law firm identity checking technology to all its clients.

To combat fraud, X-Press Legal Services is now offering its customers access to confirmly through its online ordering platform, ICOS. confirmly allows the provision of real time monitoring to law firms by harnessing LMS Panel Link and specialist data to verify bank account details. It reduces the risks associated with money transfers and allows the quick and easy gathering of information from trusted third party sources.

The integration of the tech into X-Press Legal’s own software will help ensure the benefits of this innovative solution can be delivered to all its law firm users. This is one of many integrations seen this year for LMS confirmly as more conveyancers are seeing the high risk associated with the transfer of funds while the success of the tech in combatting this has become ever more apparent.

Based on October 2022 search results, it has been successful in identifying a 5% ‘No match’ rate and a further 5.5% ‘Match with cautions’ rate, both of which prompt details to be checked before monies are released to ensure customers aren’t losing what could be their life savings to fraud.
