58 years after the Mr X appeal was set up, it is still going strong. Last year over 100 businesses took part with 4,500 gifts being donated. This is the eighth year that Swansea based conveyancing firm Dezrezlegal and associated company Dezrez Services Limited have supported the appeal, with all staff choosing to get involved.

Each employee received the name and age of a child to choose a gift for; an approach that really works.

Dezrezlegal’s Accounts Administrator Lynne Brangwynne, who organises the firm’s Mr X operation, explains:

“There’s always such a good feeling in the office when we start to organise the Mr X appeal. Having the children’s names and ages, means you feel a real connection to them.”

The names of the children that need support come from child support agencies mainly in the Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Neath and Port Talbot areas.
