The Landmark Academy helps property solicitors prepare for Continuing Competence CPD deadline
With the deadline of 31st October 2017 fast approaching for solicitors to meet their development targets of the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) Continuing Competence CPD requirements, Landmark Information has announced the addition of new webinars and training guidance on its free-to-use Landmark Academy training portal.
The Landmark Academy helps legal professionals adhere to the requirements, in which lawyers are asked to provide a ‘reflective’ approach to their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
With free online access to easy-to-digest webinars and guidance provided by widely-acclaimed experts, the Landmark Academy provides solicitors with insights into a range of environmental and property-specific issues including highways, flood risk, energy & infrastructure, contaminated land and planning law.
It provides an audit trail of all accessed content, enabling lawyers to easily create and share an activity log of CPD activities undertaken, which is one of the SRA requirements.
Simon Boyle, Landmark’s Environmental Law Director and a contributor to the Landmark Academy said:
“With the deadline approaching for the end of the CPD year, time is running out for solicitors to meet their developmental targets. We have therefore added new content to the Landmark Academy, enabling solicitors to access even more training materials and easily produce an audit trail of completed modules for their annual declaration.”
The latest inclusion to the Landmark Academy includes a webinar from Environmental & Planning Law Expert, Andrew Wiseman from Harrison Grant, on ‘Understanding Highways’. It provides lawyers with what they need to know regarding the different types of highways, including private and public roads, and additional topics such as the intricacies of ransom strips.
The Landmark Academy can be accessed via any device, including PCs, mobile tablets and smartphones, enabling solicitors to view the webinars and training guidance at a time that is convenient to them. The portal automatically tracks who has viewed the content making it simple to produce an itemised checklist for auditing and reporting purposes.
